1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, purchasing an audit or subscription, or otherwise using AEO Owl ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
AEO Owl is an AI visibility auditing platform operated at aeoowl.com. The Service queries leading AI engines using questions and competitor inputs you provide, measures your brand's visibility, and delivers reports, scorecards, and improvement recommendations.
The Service includes a no-cost Platform Preview using illustrative sample data (no account required), a one-time Report, one-time Dashboard audits, and a Monitor subscription available on monthly or annual cadence.
3. Account registration
- Your account is created automatically when you complete a purchase via Stripe Checkout using the email you provide at checkout. After purchase you'll receive an email to set a password and claim your account.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Accounts are intended for use by one individual or organization. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
- You must be at least 16 years old and have legal authority to enter into these terms.
4. Audits, subscriptions, payments & refunds
- Report is a one-time purchase at $150. It runs one 8-engine audit on a single brand and delivers an Owl Report (PDF plus a shareable permalink). The Report tier does not include the interactive dashboard.
- Dashboard audits are one-time purchases at $300 each. Each is bound to a specific brand at purchase time, powers one 8-engine audit on that brand, and includes access to the interactive dashboard for that brand. Dashboard audits do not expire while your account is active.
- Monitor is a recurring subscription — $500/month or $5,000/year. The base plan includes 2 brand slots. Each slot includes one 8-engine audit per brand per month; you may run it on demand or on a schedule, and if a brand's monthly audit goes unused we run it automatically before the period ends so it is never lost. Additional brand slots are $250/month each.
- Adding a brand. You can add a brand to your Monitor subscription at any time and pay to add it immediately. The one-time charge to add a brand is $250 for each billing month remaining until your next renewal — so the new brand is paid up through your renewal date — capped at $2,500. On a monthly plan that is a flat $250; on an annual plan it is $250 × the months left in your term (never more than $2,500). From your next renewal, the brand's slot is then billed with your subscription at your plan's rate: $250/month, or $2,500/year on annual plans.
- Dashboard audit credits. A Dashboard audit credit is consumed when you run an audit. Unused credits do not expire; if you start a Monitor subscription, any unused Dashboard audit credits carry over and remain usable as on-demand audits.
- Payment processing. All payments are handled by Stripe-hosted Checkout. AEO Owl does not store, process, or transmit card numbers, CVVs, or expiration dates.
- Cancellation. You can cancel a Monitor subscription yourself at any time from Profile → Billing → Manage subscription (which opens the Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then, and you can restart it before that date from the same place. We do not pro-rate refunds for mid-period cancellations or brand-slot removals.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — email admin@aeoowl.com with your request. Generally: an unused Dashboard audit is refundable within 30 days of purchase if you haven't run the audit yet; once an audit is run, it is consumed and non-refundable. A Report purchase is non-refundable once its audit has run. Subscription payments for periods already consumed are non-refundable.
- Audit failures. If an audit fails due to AI engine outages affecting our platform, we automatically restore the audit to your account so you can retry — you don't need to request a refund.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or violates third-party rights.
- Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or harm individuals or organizations.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, automate, or otherwise circumvent the Service's intended use.
- Submit queries designed to extract proprietary system prompts, model weights, or internal infrastructure details.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service to query domains, brands, or persons you do not have a legitimate business reason to research.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section, with or without notice.
6. Intellectual property
- Our property. AEO Owl, including its software, design, content, reports template, scoring methodology, and brand assets, is owned by AEO Owl and protected by applicable laws.
- Your inputs. You retain ownership of audit inputs you submit (domains, questions, competitor lists). You grant us a non-exclusive license to use these inputs solely to operate the Service and generate your reports.
- Your reports. Reports generated for your audits are licensed to you for internal and client use. You may share, present, or republish them, including for client deliverables.
7. Third-party AI engines
AEO Owl queries eight third-party AI engines on your behalf when you run an audit: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, and Google AI Overviews. The engine portfolio may change over time as new platforms emerge or existing ones retire. We do not control these services, their availability, their data policies, or the accuracy of their responses. AI engine responses reflect their respective systems at query time and may vary between runs. See our Privacy Policy for what data we send to each engine.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." AEO Owl makes no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
AEO Owl does not guarantee specific outcomes from acting on its recommendations. AI search visibility depends on many factors beyond our control, including but not limited to AI model updates, training data refreshes, third-party indexing, and competitor activity.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- AEO Owl is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability arising from or relating to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AEO Owl from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.
10. Termination
You can delete your account yourself at any time from Profile → Delete account. Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period (if you have an active Monitor subscription, it is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period and the grace clock starts then); you can reverse it any time before the deletion date by signing in and choosing “Keep my account.” We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are inactive for extended periods, or for legal or operational reasons.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, Governing law) will survive.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email and posted to this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
